HOW MANY HOURS OF YOUR DAY ARE CONSUMED BY THOUGHTS OF FOOD, YOUR BODY, OR DOUBTING YOURSELF?

You're exhausted from the daily battle to be “good enough”, only to come up short every night. Maybe your brain is constantly scanning for what's wrong; what you ate, how your body looks, if you said the right thing, what might go wrong, or whether you're really sure you're safe. You overthink, check, plan, restrict, avoid, seek reassurance, or try to control things just to get a little relief.

Except the relief never really lasts. Because the more you try to control the discomfort, the more out of control you feel. The rules get stricter. The list of things you can't eat, can't do, can't think about, or can't tolerate gets longer. And before you know it, your world has gotten pretty dang small.

Maybe you don't even recognize yourself anymore. You just know you're tired. Tired of arguing with your brain. Tired of trying to fix your body. Tired of needing everything to feel just right before you can relax. Tired of waiting for the day when you'll finally feel good enough.

When is the last time you ate without planning how to make up for it, moved your body for pleasure instead of punishment, or did something uncomfortable without needing to make sure everything would be okay first?

Welcome friends, I am so glad you are here. My name is Bobbie Shae Melton, LPC. You can call me Bobbie! I help teens and adults age 16+ learn how to break free from disordered eating, chronic dieting, negative body image, high anxiety, and obsessive thinking. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, OCD, and anxiety in my practice.

I bring high empathy + conviction, a side of quirkiness, and a splash of lived experience into the therapy room. I leave with bits of wisdom from each client that collectively serves my future clients. I am rooted in proven therapeutic approaches to heal your relationship with mind, body and food, and flowing in flexibility to fit your individual path and values.

My approach is evidence-based, utilizing three main therapeutic modalities: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Tactful + targeted talking, hands-on practicing, a splash of fun, and a whole lot of healing is my vibe.

“I knew from day 1 that Bobbie was my ideal therapist.”

She is compassionate, non-judgmental, humorous and truly a safe place to land. I had been stuck in disordered eating cycles pretty much my entire life, but with Bobbie I’ve been able to develop strategies and actionable plans to get me out. She makes things as radical as self-compassion feel workable! Each session has brought me insight that has truly made a difference in my journey to better myself. Thank you Bobbie for all that you have done for me!
